RANGE

The Shimano EP600 and EP801 motors, together with Orbea
Ebike system batteries, have been designed to provide the
highest range available for a system of its reduced weight and
small size.
The available range per charge depends strongly on various
factors such as:
• Assist mode: Using higher assist levels will decrease the
available range.
• Assist profile: The assist profile selected via the Shimano
Etube Project app will vary the available range. Selecting
assist profile 2 means increasing the power of each assist
mode, so range may be affected.
• Customisation of assist modes: Approximate range val-
ues take into account the power values of each assist
mode, according to Orbea's original settings. Customising
the power delivery of each mode via the Shimano Etube
Project app will affect the final battery range.
• Temperature: Charging and using the battery at a low
temperature will decrease the range per charge.
• Weight of the rider and gear/luggage.
• How hard the cyclist pedals.
• Terrain and slopes: Use on broken ground and uphill will
affect the range available per charge.
• Frequent stops and starts can affect the available range.
TRANSPORTING THE BATTERIES OF ELECTRIC
BICYCLES
The Orbea internal battery and the Range Extender external
battery must be transported in compliance with the regulations
in force by the means of transport permitted for these articles.
The units must always be transported or shipped using the
original approved packaging and an approved carrier. Find out
about the handling and transport conditions of this type of item
in your country.
If the Range Extender or internal battery have to be sent to Or-
bea for repair or diagnosis, it must be sent in its original ap-
proved packaging and a carrier qualified for batteries must be
used. Orbea can provide information about your best option.

TRANSPORTING ELECTRIC BIKES

If you plan to travel with your electric bike, find out the condi-
tions of carriage for batteries or battery-installed electric bikes
of the airline you plan to use to transport your bike. Most com-
mercial airlines do not allow the transport of batteries with a
capacity greater than 100Wh.
