CONNECTION OF LIGHTS TO THE SHIMANO EP801/EP6 RS MOTOR
Rise is not designed for the use of lights connected to the motor, so the user and/or Shimano dealer who wishes to perform
this installation is responsible for it if it is carried out.
WARNING: Using lights connected to the motor can considerably reduce your bicycle's range.
See the wiring section of this manual for options related to SIC seals of the HS02 headset collector and options related to the
front light cable outlet, should you wish to install it. Orbea's Rise assemblies do not have lights. Orbea is not responsible for
the compatibility of aftermarket assemblies installed by users or a dealer. Make sure that the components are compatible be-
fore installing them.
The Shimano EP801/EP6 motor allows lights to be connected to the ports provided on the motor itself (bare wire).
Rise is delivered with the motor light ports disabled. However, an authorised Shimano dealer can enable the light ports via Etube
Professional by connecting the bike to the SM-PCE02 interface.
It is possible to choose whether the lights will always be on when the bike is switched on or whether the user can choose to
switch them on via the display.
WARNING: There are laws that could require an ebike with lights to automatically set aside a percentage of the battery
charge to power the lights for a set amount of time when the battery is running low by switching off the motor assist. Always
follow the regulations of the territory where you use your bicycle.
