ADJUSTING THE COMPRESSION (36 GRIP)
3-Position Micro Adjustment: The 3-position adjustment is useful for making quick adjustments and controlling fork perform-
ance in situations with variable terrain. The compression lever is used to make adjustments while using the bicycle. Turning
the lever completely counterclockwise leaves the compression in Open mode. Leaving the lever in a central position leaves the
fork in Medium mode. Turning the lever completely clockwise leaves the compression in Firm mode. The intermediate posi-
tions between the 3 modes can be used to adjust the compression in smaller increments. Fox recommends starting with the
lever in Open mode.
ADJUSTING THE COMPRESSION (36 GRIP X)
Use the settings in the following table as a starting point. Turn the compression dials to the closed position (turn fully clock-
wise). Then count as many "clicks" as appear on the table in an anti-clockwise direction.
From the recommended starting position, opening the compression circuit (counterclockwise) will make the fork softer, while
closing it (clockwise) will make the fork firmer.
High Speed Compression (HSC)
Controls the behaviour in hard impacts, landings and square-edged obstacles.
Low Speed Compression (LSC)
Controls behaviour during pedalling, weight changes, G-outs and slow shifting
COMPRESSION ADJUSTMENT (36 AWL HD SPORT RAIL)
The Fox 34 AWL Sport fork mounted on Rise SL does not have compression adjustment.
AIR VOLUME REDUCERS:
Modifying the number of fork air volume reducers lets you further fine-tune the behaviour of the fork.
