LCD display (special accessory)
i Prerequisite is software version V1.3 or higher.
Test benches equipped with an LCD display indicate the mean
values for the brake force difference, pedal force, weight, out-of-
roundness and maximum braking ratio during measurement and/
or after measurement.
Other indications displayed are, for example, when printing, the
report form selected or when an error occurs, the corresponding
error code. Presented and explained below are a number of
different indications. Some indications are only displayed when
the appropriate special accessory is being used.
Switching on the test bench:
– Initialisation phase

All 5 segments are switched on starting with the left-hand LCD.
The initialisation phase is completed with the software version
being displayed.
– "Manual" mode (idle state / sensing rollers up)
The above display (static) appears in "Manual" mode.
– "Automatic" mode (idle state / sensing rollers up)
The above display (moving from left to right) appears in
"Automatic" mode.
Measurement mode:
– Vehicle on roller set (sensing rollers down)
The above display (static) appears until the roller sets start
rotating (idle state).
– Vehicle on roller set with scales (sensing rollers down)

Until the roller sets start rotating (idle state), the weight (in daN)
is displayed on test benches equipped with scales (special
accessory).

– Brake force difference

The brake force difference (in %) is displayed during
measurement.
– Pedal force

When measuring using a pedal dynamometer (special
accessory), the U button (F13) on the remote-control unit can be
used to toggle between display of the brake force difference and
the pedal force (in daN).
– Out-of-roundness

When the out-of-roundness of the brakes is being measured (see
section 8.3.2.), the measured values are displayed separately for
the left and right sides (in %).
– Save

When the automatic slip disable function activates or when
saving the measured values manually using the S button (F10) on
the remote-control unit, the axle for which the measured values
have been taken is displayed briefly.
i The numbers (1, 2 or 3) only appear if you have assigned an
axle beforehand by pressing the
button on the remote-control unit.
– Peak value display

The value displayed is the difference between the maximum brake
forces. When testing using a pedal dynamometer (special
accessory), the pedal force applied to achieve these maximum
brake forces is also displayed. You can toggle between the
displays by pressing the U button (F13) on remote-control unit.
The outer segments of the LCD display (left and right) can also
display slip values. In this case, the
relevant page alternately with the current display.
i The slip display function is only supported if the test bench is
configured appropriately.
