15. Maintenance
Regular maintenance of your brake system analyser will ensure
that it retains its value.
We recommend that you conclude a maintenance contract with
your Bosch service agent. This will guarantee that the test bench
remains safe and reliable to operate and retains the prescribed
measurement accuracy.
We recommend that maintenance is carried out according to the
following schedule:
Monthly throughput of up to 100 vehicles = six-monthly
Monthly throughput of up to 200 vehicles = quarterly
Continuous operation (e.g. test centres, etc.) = every 1
2 months
Maintenance should include checks on the following:
– test rollers
– test bench mountings and welded joints, etc.
– switching link with sensing roller
– drive chain
– mounting screws, bolts, etc.
– operating safety
– safety and reliability of electrical components.
All maintenance tasks should be carried out by a specialist and a
written record should be made on each occasion.

16. Replacement and wearing parts
Test rollers, drive chains, gassprings, lamp bulbs and indicator
lamps as well as the batteries for the remote controls are parts
subject to wear.
The test rollers are (like car tires) subject to natural wear. The
normal service life for these is at least 30,000 test cycles, or
3 years, thanks to their high-grade coating. This presupposes
however, use in accordance with the intended application as well
as proper installation.
i Sand on vehicle tyres significantly reduces the useful life of
the coating (similar effect as abrasive grinding).

*) Different test rollers are used depending on the type of brake
test bench and the country-specific special versions. The
individual ordering number for your test rollers can be obtained
from your Bosch Customer service.
A standard 6 V block battery (wearing part), Flat Pack 4 LR 61,
is required for the remote control handset.
! Batteries are special waste.
Disposal of these must be in accordance with applicable
regulations for special waste.
