4. Brief instructions: Brake testing with
automatic evaluation and printed report
i Assumes that remote control has been installed – special
accessory
These abbreviated instructions are intended for operators who
are familiar with the operation of brake system analysers. They
only apply in conjunction with the full operating instructions.
Make sure that nobody is standing in the immediate
vicinity of the test bench.
Danger of life for anyone standing close to the
roller set!
Observe accident prevention regulations.
In the event of danger, turn the system

off at the main switch.
1. Drive vehicle slowly onto rollers.
If the vehicle is not positioned at right-angles to the
rollers, it will drift sideways.

2. Select operating mode
„Automatic"
Press „Automatic" button (2)
or
A button (F2).
„Automatic" indicator light (4) illuminates.
Press button (F6) for front axle or
button (F7) for rear axle.
When the automatic mode is not selected, the brake system
analyser is in manual mode.
„Hand" (remote control)
Press l button (F4)
for LH roller set
or
r button (F5)
for RH roller set.
Press (F6) button (F6) for front axle or
button (F7) for rear axle.
3. Make corrections by turning steering wheel back and forth.
4. Secure wheels that are not on rollers with handbrake or
chocks.

5. Assign rolling friction
After the drive motors have been switched on by pressing the
button (F6) or the button (F7), assign the rolling friction to
the axle being tested (FA or RA) and the relevant braking system
(SBS or PBS).
i At the same time as assigning the rolling friction, you are also
determining the text that will appear on the printed reports.
Example: Test SBS for FA
Press button (F6)
Example: Test PBS for FA/RA
Press h button (F8)
6. Pump brakes „dry".
7. Slowly increase brake force.
LH and RH brake forces are displayed, as well as brake force
difference.
Automatic slip disable function.
8. If the automatic slip disable function is not activated:
Press S button (F10)
Brake force at point of cut-off is indicated.
Roller drive motors switch off.
Brake force progression is stored.
In automatic mode, drive motors are switched on again after 4 s.
If automatic mode has not been selected, brake system
analyser is in manual mode and drive motors must therefore be
switched on via remote control (special accessory).
If the brake force test is repeated, the first set of brake force
progression data is overwritten.
! Only drive the vehicle off the rollers while they are rotating.
9. Test SBS (or PBS) for next axle.
10. Data to be entered for evaluation
● Enter total permissible vehicle weight
Use G buttons (F9) 0 ... 9 and E (F17)
to enter vehicle weight in daN.
Example: Total vehicle weight = 1 050 kg ( daN).
G 1 0 5 0 E
Press D button (F11) 1 and E (F17).
