9.2.2 Address setting with the "Browse and Config" tool (Gen.1)

1. Disconnect the bus coupler from the power supply UL before changing the
positions of switches S1 and S2.
2. Once you have done this, you can set the address to 0x00.
After the bus coupler is restarted, the address can be set via the "Browse and
Config" tool.
The CD R412018133, included on delivery, contains the "Browse and Config"
tool.
To set the address, you need a computer with a Windows operating system and a
network card that allows you to assign it a permanent IP address, as well as a net-
work cable with an RJ45 connection and a D-coded, male, 4-pin M12 plug.
Proceed as follows:
1. Connect the network card to the fieldbus connection of the bus coupler that
you would like to assign an address to.
2. Supply the bus coupler with power (see
3. On your computer, assign a network address from the following subnet (xxx =
actual device address, address on delivery = 3):
- IP address: 192.168.100.xxx
- Subnet mask: 255.255.255.
4. Start the "Browse and Config" tool.
5. Click on "Scan Adapters".
