c) Setting of maximum servo turn (EPA)

With the EPA setting (End Point Adjustment) you can precisely determine how large the maximum per-
mitted turn for the steering and throttle servo may be on each side.
This function is normally used to protect servos at full turn from mechanical limit stops.
To do this, you can set a value from 0-120%. The smaller the value, the shorter the servo way.
But you should always try to set a value as large as possible. If need be, the rods or also the linkage
points on the servo have to adjusted accordingly.
In this menu set the maximum possible turn for channel 1 (steering servo) and channel 2 (throttle servo)
without mechanically limiting the servos which would make them buzz.
If a smaller turn should be necessary for a later operation it can then be reduced with the dual rate
function.
If you use a model with electric motor and electronic cruise control in addition to the re-
mote control, you can also determine a maximum drive value for the electronic cruise con-
trol (channel 2).
However, in order to be able to use the highest possible motor rotation speed, the value
should be set from 100 - 120% in both directions.
If you want to make the model slower at a later point, eg for a beginner, you can reduce the
value for channel 2 with the help of the dual rate function.
Warning!
Before you are limiting the turns in the EPA function, you should check whether the factory
setting of 100% is still saved for the dual rate setting.
• Switch the transmitter on. On the transmitter's LC dis-
play the operating display will appear.
• Now press the menu select button SEL (see illustration
1, pos. 4) 3 x.
On the left edge of the display EPA (End Point Adjust-
ment) will appear and on the top right the channel 1(CH
1) for the steering is shown.
