i) Setting the end position of the servo/rudder deflection
Setting the end position of the servo/rudder deflection (and thus the steering angle) separately to the left and right
eases steering of the model boat at high travel speeds.
Set the two rotary controls so that the steering angle to the left and right is the same.
• Rotary control "ST/R" (Figure 2, no. 9): Set the right end position of the servo/rudder deflection
• Rotary control "ST/L" (Figure 2, no. 10): Set the left end position of the servo/rudder deflection
When the servo/rudder deflection is limited e.g. to 50% of the maximum travel, the rudder moves through a smaller an-
gle when the rotary wheel is fully deflected (Figure 1, no. 2). This provides more sensitive steering to the left and right.
Note that the turning circle of the model boat increases as the servo/rudder deflection (and thus the steer-
ing angle) is reduced.
j) Ending operation of the model boat
Warning!
Never reach into the propeller. The drive could start up unintentionally. The running propeller can cause
severe injury!
To end the operation of the model boat (e.g. after a function test or after use in a body of water), always proceed as
follows:
1. Open the canopy, as described in section 10. c).
2. Completely disconnect the drive battery from the speed controller.
3. Finally, switch off the transmitter.
After every use, check whether water has entered the model boat. A small amount of water that can enter the model
boat through the drive shaft and through the seal between the hull and canopy is normal.
This water can be easily removed through an opening on
the right-hand side of the model boat stern. Pull out the
small rubber stopper (1) and hold the model boat so that
the opening (2) is facing down.
Water in the model boat can now drip out.
Then put the rubber stopper back into the opening.
