5. When the rechargeable batteries are charged up or new batteries are inserted, pull the transmitter
antenna out all the way and, for test purposes, turn on the transmitter with the help of the function
switch (see illustration 1, pos. 7). The blue control LED (see illustration 1, pos. 9) lights up briefly and
a short beep tone signals adequate power supply of the transmitter.
6. In addition there is the operating display on the LC dis-
play with its presently active model memory and the
present voltage value of the rechargeable batteries or
batteries inserted in the transmitter.
7. If the power supply is no longer sufficient for a faultless
operation of the transmitter (at a voltage of under 8.5
V), the display "LOW" will appear instead of the voltage
value and an alarm signal will sound.
In this case the operation of the model has to be ended
as soon as possible.
For further operation of the transmitter the recharge-
able batteries are to be recharged again or new batter-
ies are to be inserted. To avoid this case, you should
already stop operation of your transmitter at a voltage
supply of 9V.
In order to avoid the memory effect of NiCd rechargeable batteries, you should only re-
charge them when the rechargeable batteries are completely discharged. The memory ef-
fect prevents hat the full capacity of the rechargeable batteries can be used.
Higher quality chargers allows a discharge before recharging the rechargeable batteries in
order to place them in a defined starting state.
