6.3.3

Adjustment of the conductivity indication

Depending on the installation site and tolerance of the conductivity cell the display
conductivity value may deviate slightly from the reference value. In this case it is possible to
correct the display by +/- 20 % with the adjustment.
Adjust the conductivity display as follows:
1. Activate the ADJ. CONDUCTIVITY menu.
2. Press the ENTER-key:

3. Change the % display value with the upper-key or down-key until the desired conductivity
value appears in the display.
4. Press the NEXT key to confirm.

Zero-point setting of the conductivity cell

The zero-point setting of the conductivity cell can be done either automatically (every time
the machine is filled) or manually. The manual zero-point setting is described below.
It is recommendable to carry out a zero-point setting of the electronics and the conductivity
cell during commissioning to suppress the existing conductivity value of the water in the
tank. The zero-point setting should be carried out
with fresh water. When totally desalinated water is used
(conductivity value < 0.1 mS/cm) a zero-point setting is unnecessary.
The existing conductivity value of the fresh water in mS/cm and the current temperature are

calibration process must be confirmed by switching from NO to YES with one of the arrow
keys.
The process is then actually started by pressing the NEXT key.
If the existing conductivity value is greater than 10 mS/cm, the display shows > 10 mS/cm.
This indicates that the water in the tank must already be mixed with detergent. In this case
the tank must be drained and refilled with fresh water.
Carry out the zero-point setting as follows:
1. Activate the ZERO-POINT CONDUCTIVITY menu.
Press the ENTER-key:
2.
Switch the display from NO to YES and confirm with NEXT.
The message MEASURING, PLEASE WAIT appears in the display during calibration as an
indication that the process is running. When the zero-point calibration has been performed
correctly, the message CALIBRATION / OK or
CALIBRATION FAULT / PRESS KEY appears in the display.
If the existing conductivity value of the water was > 10 mS/cm and the zero-point calibration
could not be carried out correctly, CALIBRATION FAULT / PRESS KEY appears in the
display. The zero-point setting must be repeated in this case.
NOTE
The suppressed conductivity value is displayed under basic settings in the configuration
data in connection with the "AquantaGet" PC software.
A zero-point suppression of the conductivity value is displayed with a "!" after the
conductivity measured value in the operating display.
