Function Description

3.1

Power Supply and Enable Signals

The main board of the
transformer with 240/2x12 VAC, 30 VA as soon as the crate washer is switched on.
The detergent pre-metering, detergent metering or rinse aid metering is enabled (via a input
module) as soon as the appropriate signal from the crate washer is available.
3.2

Detergent Metering

In software version V2.00 and above it is possible to switch between two metered
NOTE
detergents (e.g. detergent 1 alkaline and detergent 2 acidic).
3.2.1

Switching between metered detergents

To prevent chemical reactions, the unit must be switched off and the wash tank completely
CAUTION
emptied before the metered detergent is changed!
On changing the metered detergent, the corresponding metering pump output is activated.
The active detergent is shown on the display (R1 or R2)!
When configuring detergent 1 and detergent 2, it is vital to ensure that the wash tank is
empty before switching on the unit.
NOTE
For safety reasons, we recommend interlocking the control relays for detergent 1 and the
detergent 2 metering pump.
We supply a four-point switching device for this purpose, on which two coupling relays are
interlocked.
To change the detergent being metered, the desired operating method must be configured in
the DETERGENT 2 DOS menu in the CONFIGURATION FUNCTIONS
(factory setting = OFF).
Once DETERGENT 2 DOS has been set, the active detergent is shown in the top left of the
display (R1 or R2).
A key-operated switch is attached to the additional circuit board at pin 20/21 for switching
between detergent 1 and detergent 2. If the contact is open, detergent 1 is active; if the
contact is closed, detergent 2 is active.
If the machine's wash tank has not been emptied or has already been filled before the unit is
switched on and a conductivity value of ≥ 1mS/cm is measured, the unit emits an alarm and
a confirmation prompt appears on the display (TANK NOT EMPTY DETERGENT 1(2) NO).
Metering must be set to YES (using the up or down arrows) for the detergent displayed (1 or
2) and this setting confirmed by pressing the NEXT button.
Confirmation must only be provided if the contents of the wash tank and allocation of the
detergent are known.
CAUTION
It may be necessary to completely empty the wash tank or use the key-operated switch to
specify the desired detergent!
If the metered detergent is changed using the key-operated switch during operation, this
change is ignored. Instead of the display changing between the unit type with date and time
and the operating mode, the following message is displayed: PROD. SWITCH HAS BEEN
CHANGED.
