6.4.1.4 Pre-metering in the proportional metering mode (concentration-dependent)
In the proportional metering mode the detergent is pre-metered as soon as the enable signal
is available from the crate washer and the water meter sends pulses to the control. A
metering time is calculated with the concentration setting and the calibration value of the
detergent pump which activates the pump for a certain time after ever5y 10 l of water that
flow.
To set the pre-metering concentration, proceed as follows:
1. Activate the SETTINGS DETERGENT 1 DOS menu.
2. Press the ENTER-key:
Fig. 6.14
3. Set the cursor to "sec" with the ENTER-key ("sec" flashes).
Set to "g/l" with the upper-key or down-key.
4. Move the cursor to the desired digit with th e ENTER-key and select the desired pre-
metering concentration with the upper-key or down-key.
The concentration can be set from 0 to 10 g/l in steps of 0.01 g/l.
5. Press the NEXT key to confirm.
6.4.2
Setting the detergent concentration
The following detergent concentrations can be set:
• "normal" detergent concentration
• "increased" concentration (booster function)
6.4.2.1 Normal detergent concentration
For conductivity-dependent metering
The concentration value is entered in mS/cm.
The value depends on the desired detergent concentration and the used detergent type.
(See the conductivity curve depending on concentration in the product data sheet.)
To ensure that no detergent is metered during commissioning of the crate washer, the
detergent concentration is set ex-works to zero (OFF mS/cm).
The concentration value must be entered as follows:
3. Activate the DETERGENT CONC. menu.
4. Set the desired concentration value (in mS/cm) and confirm with the NEXT key.
In proportional metering
The concentration value is entered in g/l.
The value depends on the type of detergent used.
To ensure that no detergent is metered during commissioning of the crate washer, the
detergent concentration is set ex-works to zero (OFF g/l).
The concentration value must be entered as follows:
3. Activate the DETERGENT CONC. menu.
4. Set the desired concentration value (in g/l) and confirm with the NEXT key.
For proportional metering with conductivity monitoring, the concentration value must be
NOTE
specified in mS/cm and g/l!
You will find further information about the detergent proportional metering in the appendix.
