Only TIM-EC modules from HBM may be operated on the 10+2 interface. Operating other
modules, or modules from other manufacturers is not permitted and may cause the TIM-
EC module to be destroyed.
Electrical connection
Make the electrical connection as described in section 7 "7", beginning on page 12. Make
certain that supply X2, TMC X4 and speed encoder X3 of the torque transducer are only
connected to the head station (super-master module) in intercommunication mode.
Only one supply point is required in this case (head station/ super-master) (see
Fig. 10.19). In this case make certain to provide an adequate power supply.
Module configuration
The modules cannot be configured until after the passcode is entered. Configuration of
the modules is performed independently for each module via the X5 Ethernet interface.
Each module must therefore be assigned its own IP address. At the time of delivery/in
individual mode all modules are parameterized as "Master." To use intercommunication
mode, the modules must be programmed as described in Fig. 10.20 as "Super-master" or
"Slave."
