Fuel the model with a two-stroke mix (1:5) with 4% oil proportion and
super or super plus fuel.
Use a special tank bottle to prevent spilling.
The carburettor is equipped with a built-in membrane pump, which is activated
as soon as the engine runs. Thus, the alternating over and under pressure in the
housing of the crankshaft is used in order to convey the fuel in the carburettor.
For the start up, the carburettor is equipped with a manual pump with which the
fuel is conveyed into the carburettor. This manual pump consists of a transpa-
rent rubber cap, which serves also as gauge glass for a visual check of the fuel
supply into the carburettor.
-
Close the choke valve (lever vertical).
-
Actuate the manual pump (a) until the "gauge glass" is completely filled
up with fuel and the latter reaches the carburettor.
-
Pull the cable pull starter once (b) until the ignition produces an audible
effect.
-
Open the choke valve again and
-
pull the cable pull starter through until the motor starts up. Hold the
model firmly with one hand.
NOTE!
Do not pull the starter cord all the way but rather to approximately
3/4 of its length!
Determine the length of the starter cord by pulling slowly without
ignition!
Never pull out the starter cord with force!
In case the motor stalls again immediately after the first start up, then close
the choke valve and pull the cable pull starter through once more until the engine starts running again.
-
When the engine starts running, then release the cable pull starter and
-
set the throttle/brake lever at the remote control transmitter to idle run.
-
Open the choke valve by half again and
-
let the engine run for approx. 3 – 5 seconds.
-
Open the choke valve completely (lever horizontal) and
-
Let the engine warm up for approximately - 3 min.
Let the engine warm up for approximately - 3 min.
ATTENTION!
If the choke valve remains shut too long or if too much fuel was pumped into the combustion chamber and
the crank case, the mix becomes too rich and the engine is flooded.
In such a case, you will need to use more effort to actuate the cable pull starter.
Refrain from further start trials and
remove the excess fuel in order to prevent damaging the cable pull starter and the engine!
For this purpose, proceed as follows:
-
Unscrew the spark plug and let the electrodes dry.
-
Open the choke valve completely
-
Pull the cable pull starter through a few times
Pull the cable pull starter through a few times
-
Insert the spark plug again
-
Repeat the start activity.

Pull the cable pull starter through several times until the engine starts up
If the engine does not start up, at the latest after 10 or 12 times, proceed as described above or try to
eliminate the problem with the help of the trouble shooting table!
