n) Mounting the Motor

The operating instructions show installation of a combustion motor for illustration purposes.
Required accessories are not included with the assembly kit and must be purchased separately. For notes
on recommended motor sizes, see chapter „Technical Data" at the end of these operating instructions.
The model is also suitable for a electrical drive with about 1500 W input. Installation of an electrical motor is
not explained in these operating instructions and must be performed at your own discretion.
If a combustion engine is installed, we recommend thinly sealing the entire motor space against ingression
of fuel and oil with 30 minute epoxy resin after motor assembly.
Install the motor as shown in figure 11a or to
the motor mounting plate according to your own
wishes.
To be able to later set the motor inclination
and side pull, as well as the distance between
spinner rear plate and motor cowl precisely, we
recommend an using washers or adjustable
motor holders or threaded rods.
Since the motor inclination and side pull de-
pend on the performance range of the motor
used and the propeller used, these instructions
cannot specify the required settings. The motor
mounting plate is installed wit ha slow motor
camber or pull ex works already.
The best values for your model must be found
out by flying starting from a basic setting (motor
camber and pull are already integrated with the
model).

o) Mounting the Receiver, Power Supply and Tank

Depending on the drive system (combustion or electrical) and the components used, we cannot provide specific
information on installation here either. Try out several options with the objective of finding the right centre of gravity by
proper placement without trimming lead if possible.
Always secure the batteries with suitable means (e.g. cable ties, hook-and-loop tape) in the fuselage so that they
cannot come loose in flight. The suddenly changing centre of gravity causes a crash!
The fuel tank should be installed so that it is inapt the centre of gravity. When the fuel in the tank reduces in fight, this
will not cause a change to the flight conduct.
