p) Installing the Motor Hood
Due to the diversity of possibilities (combustion or electrical drive, large or small engines, etc.), these operating inst-
ructions cannot provide any specific information on adjustment of the motor hood and the transfer to the spinner.
Therefore, adjust the motor cowl from the
construction set to the individual situation at
your own discretion. Independently of using a
combustion or electrical drive, ensure the right
cooling of your drive (1).
The motor hood is attached to the fuselage with
thread-cutting screws 2.5 x 12 mm. For this,
pre-drill correspondingly small holes into the
motor mounting plate.
Assembly of the motor hood must be performed
so that the distance of the spinner back plate to
the motor hood is about 2 - 4 mm (2).
Motor dummies from a plastic injection-moul-
ded part are not illustrated but included. They
give the model a natural appearance. Install
and paint the motor dummies according to the
options of the drive installed by you offers.

Practical advice:

To be able to drill the perfectly matching holes for the screws of the motor cowl, attach two paper strips with
adhesive tape to the left and right of the fuselage with the motor cowl removed.
The paper strips must be attached so that you can mark the holes to be drilled at the motor mounting plate
on the paper strips. Then fold the paper strips back again, apply the motor cowl and mark the drill holes at
the motor cowl as indicated on the paper strips.

q) Assembly of the Front Cabin Canopy Glazing

The front cabin hood glazing must e cut out from a shaped part with a protrusion and screwed on via the correspon-
ding opening in the fuselage with thread-cutting screws 2 x 6 mm.
r) Assembling the Wings
The wings are pushed onto the plug-in pipe inserted into the fuselage on the left and right and attached with screws
M4 x 30 mm (also see figure 1, Pos. 3). For further stabilisation, the wing bars (see chapter 8. m) must have been
installed.
