m) Inserting the flight battery

The battery tray is intended to hold a 6 cell micro-rechargeable battery
(1) (dimensions approx. 21 x 31 x 46 mm).
First, start the transmitter and push the control lever for the motor function
into the "motor off" position. If there is a function switch (2) on the flight
control unit, this must be in the "off" position.
Unfasten the cover of the battery tray (3) on the underside of the model
and pull out the connection cable for the flight battery. Ensure that the
cable polarity is correct when attaching the two plugs (4).
Now slide the rechargeable battery - with the cable to the front - into the
battery tray; place the cover back on and lock it in place.
If required, switch the function switch for the flight control unit back on in
order to carry out a motor function test.

n) Testing the functioning of the motor

Once you have mounted the propellers and inserted the flight battery, you can check the rotation of the propellers by carrying out a short motor test. First, start
the transmitter, if you have not already done so, and then turn on the model.
Important!
Note also the instructions provided by the documentation provided with the transmitter and the flight control unit.
When you move the transmitter's control lever for the motor rotation speed slowly from the Motor OFF position into the direction of motor max speed, the motors
should start running. Check the running of the propeller at low speed first before running temporarily at full throttle.

o) Mounting the undercarriage

First unscrew the fastening screw (1) of the undercarriage and remove
the undercarriage support (2) from the wheel well.
Push the undercarriage wire (3) into the well according to the figure.
Whether you do this from the right or the left side of the undercarriage is
irrelevant.
Now place the undercarriage support into the well and tightly screw it
again using the fastening screw.
Our tip:
The undercarriage should be mounted only if you wish to have your model later take off and land on a solid surface. If the model lands on grass, the wheels will
get caught in the surface, which can cause the model to overturn very easily. In such cases, it is better to "belly-land" the model. In order to protect the sensitive
fuselage from damage without ruining its appearance, it has proven useful to apply a transparent parcel tape on the underside of the fuselage.
