B e c a u s e the c a r b u r e t o r is s u c h a c r i t i c a l part of t h e
e n g i n e , a n y c a r b u r e t o r d i s a s s e m b l y s h o u l d be d o n e by
a n e x p e r i e n c e d m e c h a n i c .
a. Idle m i x t u r e
T o set the idle m i x t u r e y o u m u s t t u r n t h e pilot
s c r e w (#1) in until it lightly s e a t s , t h e n b a c k it o u t
a s s p e c i f i e d t u r n s — n o m o r e or no less. T h i s is a
f a c t o r y s e t t i n g that c a n b e set w i t h the e n g i n e
s t o p p e d .
