W h e n r e i n s t a l l i n g the battery, be s u r e to h o o k up
t h e R E D l e a d to t h e p o s i t i v e t e r m i n a l a n d t h e
B L A C K l e a d to t h e n e g a t i v e t e r m i n a l (the p o l a r i t y
of e a c h is s t a m p e d j u s t b e l o w e a c h t e r m i n a l ) .
15. Throttle cable and grip lubrication
T h e t h r o t t l e t w i s t grip a s s e m b l y s h o u l d be g r e a s e d at
t h e t i m e t h a t t h e c a b l e is l u b r i c a t e d , s i n c e the grip
m u s t be r e m o v e d to get at t h e e n d of the t h r o t t l e
c a b l e . T w o s c r e w s c l a m p t h e t h r o t t l e grip to the
h a n d l e b a r . O n c e t h e s e t w o are r e m o v e d , the e n d of
the c a b l e c a n be h e l d h i g h to p o u r in s e v e r a l d r o p s of
liquid g r a p h i t e .
