Filling in fuel (Fig. 5)
• Switch off the engine and let it cool down.
• Keep heat, flames and sparks away.
• Only fill up with fuel outdoors.
• Wear protective gloves.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
• Avoid using old or contaminated fuel and do not use
fuel-oil mixtures.
• Make sure that no dirt or water gets into the fuel tank.
• Start the product at a distance of at least 3 m from the
fuel filling point.
• Watch out for leaks. If fuel is leaking, do not start the
engine.
Note:
Check the fuel level every time before commissioning.
ATTENTION
The product is delivered without fuel. It is
therefore essential to fill with fuel before
commissioning.
1. Check the fuel level through the sight glass (1b).
2. Clean the tank cover (1) and the area around the fill-
ing nozzle to prevent dirt or foreign objects entering
the fuel tank.
3. Carefully open the tank cover (1) so that any possible
overpressure can be relieved.
4. Fill the fuel tank with petrol using a funnel.
– Always use a fuel filter insert (1a).
– Note the max. filling capacity of 14.8 litres.
– Check the sight glass (1b) while filling in the fuel.
The red mark in the sight glass (1b) indicates the
minimum fill level.
– Carefully fill the fuel up to the lower edge of the fill-
ing port.
5. Seal the tank cover (1) again by placing it straight on
and turning it clockwise. Make sure that the tank cover
(1) is completely sealed to prevent leaks and evapora-
tion.
6. Clean the tank cover (1) and the surroundings.
7. Check the fuel tank and fuel lines for leaks.

Connecting the battery (Fig. 6, 7)
1. Open the maintenance door (4).
2. Remove the battery holder (8a) by removing the two
wing nuts (8b).
3. Remove the battery (8) and take the protective caps
off the terminals (+/-).
4. Then connect the red cable to the positive terminal (+)
and the black cable to the negative terminal (-) on the
charging unit using the screws (8c) and the nuts (8d).
Use an open-ended spanner size 10/12 mm (13).
5. Place the protective caps back onto both terminals
(+/-).
6. Push the battery (8) back into the product.
7. Re-attach the battery holder (8a) and screw the two
wing nuts (8b) tight.
8. Close the maintenance door (4).

Operation
Before starting the engine, make sure that the power of
the consumers corresponds to the capacities of the power
generator. Do not exceed the rated power. Do not con-
nect any consumers before starting the engine!
Check before operation
• Place the product on a level, even surface.
• Check all sides of the engine for oil or fuel leaks.
• Check the engine oil level.
• Check the fuel level – the fuel tank should be at least
half-full.
• Check the condition of the air filter.
• Check the condition of the fuel lines.
• Look for signs of damage.
• Check that all protective covers are in place and all
screws, nuts and bolts are tightened.
• Ensure that the product is sufficiently ventilated.
• Remove any consumer that may be connected.
9.1
Voltage indicator (3e) (Fig. 8)
The voltage indicator (3e) is active when the engine is
running and shows the output voltage.
9.2
Voltage selector switch (15) for 230
V~, 400 V~ and 12V DC
connections (19) (Fig. 3)
The power generator is suitable for 230 V~ and 400 V~
AC voltage devices.
ATTENTION
Switching is only permissible with completely discon-
nected load.
• If the voltage selector switch (15) is on the left, the
230 V~ sockets can be used.
• If the voltage selector switch (15) is on the right, the
400 V~ socket is active.
• A 12V battery can be charged at the positive (20) and
negative (19) terminals on the 12V DC connection.
Use an adapter cable for this (not included in the
scope of delivery).
• You can use the 12 V voltage simultaneously with 230
V or with 400 V.
ATTENTION
The power generator must not be connected to the
mains supply as a domestic emergency power supply. It
can cause damage to the power generator or other
electrical devices.
