Checking the tank filling level

¨ Read off the filling level on the tank indicator
next to the tank cap
The scale is divided up into 4 sections; the end
positions are identified as follows:
– E: The tank is empty
– F: The tank is full (max. 3.9 litres).
5.2.3

Filling with petrol

¨ Make sure that you always use the fuel approved for your genset, see
specification" on
Open the fuel tank. The tank cap is secured by a retaining strap.
¨
¨ Use a funnel or a canister with a flexible spout to avoid spilling fuel during refuelling.
Check the filter insert for soiling and remove it if
¨
necessary.
Fill the tank with fuel up to the maximum filling
¨
level. This is identified by a red ring in the filter
insert.
Do not overfill the tank. Bear in mind that the
¨
fuel volume can increase somewhat due to the
effect of heat (e.g. sunlight).
¨ After refuelling, make sure that the tank and
canister are properly closed.

DANGER!
Highly flammable substances
Fire and explosion hazard
Petrol contains volatile elements; petrol vapours are highly flammable and also
explosive under certain conditions.
¨ Switch off the genset before every refuelling and do not smoke. Keep
naked flames and sparks away from all parts that have come into contact
with fuel (hands, cloths etc.)
Wipe away spilled fuel immediately and do not start up the genset until
¨
the affected areas are completely dry.
