Transport by hand

¨ Always hold the genset by its handle to carry it.
Pay attention to the genset's weight. Always lift the genset smoothly and move with care.
¨
¨ Set down the genset only on a level and non-slippy surface.
Transport on vehicles or with a crane
¨ Follow all the local and user-related safety regulations during transport.
¨ Take suitable measures to secure the load.
If crane transport is necessary: Hang the genset only by its carrying handle or use suitable
¨
means of transport.
Drainage
In most instances, special regulations required by the laws of the destination country or by
the rules of the shipping company apply when transporting to other countries or by sea, air
etc. This means for example that drainage might also be required, which requires the genset
to meet the following criteria:
ƒ The engine must not contain any engine oil, see
page 92.
ƒ The fuel tank and the carburettor must not contain any fuel, see
tank" on page 95.

Additional protective measures are required for transports that could result
in an extended period of non-use or the genset being put into storage, see

Setting up the genset

Follow the sequence below to ensure that the genset is reliably set up at its place of use:
¨ Select a suitable installation site and set up the genset there as horizontally as possible,
