Maintenance work on the genset should only be done under the following conditions:
Maintenance work must always be done by an experienced specialist who has suitable
tools and the necessary expert knowledge. This expert is also allowed to make simple
adjustments and carry out minor repairs, see

Incorrect valve clearance.
Low cooling capacity (fan

Overload or short circuit
due to fault in supply
cable or consumer.
Maintenance
ATTENTION!
Non-compliance with the following criteria can exclude the manufacturer from
liability and render any warranty claims void:

Use only original accessories and original spare parts that are suitable for
your genset.
¨
Do not loosen or adjust any adjustment screws or comparable parts
marked with red sealing lacquer and lead-sealed (e.g. mixture adjustment
screw, speed adjustment, throttle lever etc.). This can cause damage to the
generator and consumers.
In the event of discrepancies or if you have any questions, consult your

specialist dealer before you carry out any incorrect work. Support is
also available from our customer service, see
page 116.
Remedy
Drain the tank, clean it if necessary and
fill up with fuel as per the specification.
Drain off engine oil.
Remove and clean the filter insert,
replace it if necessary.
Inspect and have it adjusted if necessary.
Clean the ventilation slots, air flow
components, cooling fins etc. Improve
installation site ventilation, remove
obstacles from around the genset if
necessary.
Drain off or fill up with engine oil.
Remedy
Disconnect the supply cable and
consumer from the genset.
Identify the faulty part: First connect the
supply cable, then the consumer. Switch
on the consumer if necessary.
As soon as the yellow LED lights up
again, repair the last component used.
