Disposal

Transport packaging
The packaging protects your genset against contamination and transport damage, and is
usually made of environmentally-safe materials that are easily recycled when disposed of
properly.
Dispose of the packaging materials in accordance with the disposal regulations in force in
¨
your region.
In some instances you can also hand in unwanted packaging parts to your specialist
¨
dealer.
Consumables
Operation and maintenance of the genset produce residual materials such as waste oil and
oily cleaning cloths that require special disposal.
ATTENTION!
Waste oil does not belong in the refuse and also must not be put into the
sewage system or spilled outdoors.
Dispose of used engine oil in an environmentally-responsible manner in
¨
accordance with the disposal regulations in force in your region.
Pour the waste oil into a suitable container that can be closed tight, and
¨
hand it in at, for example, a recycling centre.
INFO
In many cases, engine oil dealers will also accept waste oil. These dealers are
normally experienced in handling waste oil and are also well integrated into
the appropriate disposal networks.
Old unit
When the unit has reached the end of its life cycle, it and in particular its
components and substances that can harm the environment must be
disposed of safely and properly. These include among other things fuel,
lubricants and plastics.
Drain off the old unit, see
¨
¨
Secure the old unit against unauthorised access until it is transported
away.
¨
Use a collecting point to return and recycle old units, or ask your specialist dealer about
suitable disposal options. Never dispose of your old unit in the residual waste. Observe
the disposal directives in force in your region.
Subject to change.
