Controllo usura e sostituzione pastiglie freno

Controllare l'usura delle pastiglie.
Limite di servizio"A"
- escluso TE 510 Centennial: 3,8 mm (pastiglie anteriori e posteriori) oppure
- TE 510 Centennial: pastiglie anteriori 3,8 mm; pastiglie posteriori: 4,5 mm.
Se detto limite é stato superato, sostituire le pastiglie in coppia.
a) Anteriormente lo spessore "A" non deve essere inferiore a quello
evidenziato dalle tacche controllo usura;
b) Posteriormente lo spessore "A" non deve essere inferiore a 3,8 o 4,5 mm.
Se detto limite é stato superato, sostituire le pastiglie in coppia.
Accertarsi che non ci siano tracce di fluido freni o di olio sulle pastiglie o sui
dischi. Pulire le pastiglie o i dischi da eventuali tracce di fluido o olio con
alcool.
Sostituire le pastiglie se non é stato possibile pulirle in modo soddisfacente.
MONTAGGIO PASTIGLIE
- Montare le nuove pastiglie freno.
- Rimontare i due perni (1) e le relative mollette (2).
Operando come sopra descritto, dopo la sostituzione delle pastiglie, non è
necessario eseguire lo spurgo dell'impianto, ma è sufficiente azionare la leva
di comando ripetutamente fino a riportare i pistoncini della posizione
normale.
E' opportuno, nell'operazione di sostituzione delle pastiglie,
togliere un pò di fluido dal serbatoio, poichè l'arretramento
dei pistoncini nei cilindri potrebbe far traboccare il fluido
dal serbatoio.
Wear check and replacement of brake pads
Inspect pads for wear.
Service limit " A"
- TE 510 Centennial excluded: 3,8 mm-0.15 in. (front and rear pads) or
- TE 510 Centennial: front pads: 3,8 mm-0.15 in.; rear pads: 4,5 mm-0.18 in.
If service limit is exceeded, always replace the pads in pairs.
a) In front: thickness "A" must never be lower than the one pointed out by the
wear control notches.
b) At the back: thickness "A" must never be lower than 3,8 mm-0.15 in. or 4,5
mm-0.18 in.
If service limit is exceeded, always replace the pads in pairs.
Be careful that no disc brake fluid or any oil gets on brake pads or discs.
Clean off any fluid or oil that inadverently gets on the pads or disc with alcohol.
Replace the pads with new ones if they cannot be cleaned satisfactorily.
PADS INSTALLATION
- Install new brake pads.
- Reassemble the two pins (1) and the springs (2).
If the above procedure is followed it will not be necessary to bleed the brake
system after new pads have been fitted.
Pumping the brake lever several times is sufficient to return the pistons to their
normal position.
During the operation of pads replacement, it is advisable to
remove a small quantity of fluid from reservoir, since
piston backing inside cylinders could cause overflowing of
fluid from reservoir.
