j) Practical Flight Advice for the First Start

• We recommend choosing a free area of approx. 5 x 5 m for your first flight attempts.
• The ground should be flat to allow you to determine even before take-off if the model tends to drift off in a particular
direction.
• Place yourself exactly behind your helicopter. As long as you can see your model from behind, it will react to the
control commands: right, left, forward, backward exactly as you see it. Whereas, if the cockpit of the model points
towards you, it reacts exactly the opposite way from your steering commands at the transmitter.
• When outdoors, do not fly the helicopter too far away. Seeing the orientation of the model in flight will become very
difficult otherwise.
Caution, important!
Observe the LEDs in the cockpit (see figure 11, item 2) to prevent harmful deep discharge of the flight bat-
tery. When the LED starts to flash, you must land without delay. Give the flight battery enough time to cool
off before charging it again.

k) Trimming of the Helicopter

Take the transmitter into operation first and then switch on the helicopter with a freshly charged flight battery.
Push the pitch stick (see figure 1, item 13) carefully forward and observe the response of your model. Shortly before
the helicopter starts hovering, you can already determine in which direction your model wants to move.
Tail trimming:
If the helicopter wants to turn to the right with the tip of its fuselage, reduce the speed until the helicopter is standing on
its skids again safety, and then push trim button for the tail function to the left repeatedly (also see figure 1, item 12).
Push the pitch stick carefully forward and check if the adjustment was sufficient. Keep repeating this procedure until
the helicopter no longer has any tendency to turn to the right.
If the tip of the fuselage turns to the left, push the trim button for the tail function to the right.
