1.1.2 Verwendungszweck
Der Helium-Leck-Detektor UL 100 PLUS ist
ein Heliumlecksucher mit massenspektrometri-
schem Nachweisprinzip.
Der UL 100 PLUS zeichnet sich durch einen
großen Nachweisbereich aus.
Mit dem UL 100 PLUS können Dichtheitsprü-
fungen
an
verschieden
großen
Prüflingen
durchgeführt
werden.
Kleinere
Prüflinge
(Vol.s10 I) können durch die im UL 100
PLUS vorhandene Vorvakuumpumpe evaku-
iert werden. Bei Besprühen des Prüflings mit
Helium kann durch ein vorhandenes Leck He-
lium in den Prüfling eindringen. Schon gering-
ste
Helium-Konzentrationen
gelangen
zum `
Massenspektrometer und werden dort nachge-
wiesen.
Durch das Gegenstromprinzip ist die Verwen-
dung von flüssigem Stickstoff nicht erforder-
lich.
Durch die besonders kleine und leichte Bau-
weise ist der UL 100 PLUS universell einsetz-
bar. Das Lecksuch-Modul
ist vom
Pump-
Modul abnehmbar und dadurch auch einzeln,
zB. zu Servicearbeiten
an Vakuumanlagen,
einfach einzusetzen.
An das Lecksuch-Modul ist jede andere geei-
gnete Vorvakuumpumpe über die Trennstelle
der beiden
Gerátebaugruppen.

wenn ein größeres Saugvermógen am Testan-
schluB und damit kürzere Pumpzeiten benótigt
werden.
Der UL 100 PLUS ist mit einem Teilstrom-
Pumpsatz besonders für groBvolumige Prüfob-
jekte mit hohen

geeignet.
Leck-
ratennachweis und -messung
sind dann be-
reits ab 100 mbar Eintaßdruck möglich.

Kennzeichnungsstelle
Ein Typen- und Leistungsschild ist beim UL
100 PLUS an zwei Stellen angebracht:
- Oberhalb des elektrischen - AnschluBfeldes
unter dem Tragegriff (siehe Abb. 8).
- Auf der Rückseite der Bedieneinheit.
1.1.4 Baugruppenübersicht
Der UL 100 PLUS besteht aus zwei Haupt-
baugruppen:

1.1.2 Purpose
The Helium Leak Detector UL 100 PLUS is a
helium leak indicator based on the mass spec-
trometric principle of detection.
The UL 100 PLUS possesses a wide detec-
tion range.
The UL 100 PLUS permits leak checks to be
carried out on test objects of various sizes.
Small test objects (with a volume of 10 I or
less) can be evacuated by the UL 100
'PLUS's own backing pump. On spraying the
test object with helium, helium will enter it if
there is a leak. Even very small helium con-
centrations
reach
the
mass
spectrometer
where they are detected.
Owing to the counterflow principle, liquid nitro-
gen is not needed.
Because of its small, lightweight design, the
UL 100 PLUS is highly versatile. Since the
leak detection module can be separated from
the pump module, the former can easily be
used individually, for example in the servicing
of vacuum systems.
The leak detection module can be connected
to any other suitable backing pump at the cou-
pling between the two modules, if a higher
pumping -speed at the test connection
and
hence a shorter pumping time is required.
When equipped with a partial-flow pump set,
the UL 100 PLUS
is particularly suited for
large-volume test objects with high leak rates.
Leak detection and measurement are then al-
ready possible from 100 mbar intake pressure
and lower.
1.1.3 Rating Plate
Two name plates are provided on the UL 100
PLUS:
- above the electrica! connections below the
carrying handle (see Fig. 8).
- on the rear of the remote control unit.

Emploi
Le détecteur. de fuites à hélium UL 100 PLUS
travaille
selon
le principe de détection
par
spectrométrie de masse.
Le détecteur UL 100 PLUS se distingue par sa
grande plage de détection.
Cet appareil permet d'effectuer des ópreuves
d'étanchéité
sur des pièces de différentes
tailles. Les petites pièces (vol. s 10 D peuvent
être évacuées par la pompe à vide primaire de
UL 100 PLUS. De l'hélium peut pénétrer par la
fuite dans la pièce lorsqu'on la vaporise avec
ce gaz. Méme de trés faibles concentrations
d'hélium peuvent arriver au spectromàtre
de
masse pour y être détectées.
UL 100 PLUS
L'utilisation d'azote liquide n'est pas nécessaire
gráce au principe de travail par contre-flux.
Le détecteur UL 100 PLUS
est d'un emploi
universel grâce à sa taille réduite et à sa con-
Struction légère. Le module-détecteur peut être
séparé du module-pompe.
II peut donc être
utilisé séparément,
par exemple.
pour
des
travaux d'entretien sur des installations à vide.
Ce module-détecteur se raccorde, par l'ac-
couplement des deux modules, à toute autre
pompe
à vide primaire appropriée,
lorsqu'un
plus grand débit, et donc un temps dé pom-
page plus court, est nécessaire au raccord test.
Equipé avec un groupe de pompage
de flux
partiel, le détecteur UL 100 PLUS est parti-
culiérement approprié à la détection d'impor-
tants taux de fuite d'objets volumineux.
La
détection et la mesure des taux de fuite sont
alors possibles dès une pression d'admission
de 100 mbar.

est équipé de deux plaques
signalétiques:
- Au-dessus des connexions électriques, sous
la poignée (CF. fig. 8).
- Sur la face arrière de l'unité de commande.
