Im Schnüffelbetrieb kann der Fernsteuerein-
gang "PUMPEN",
Pin Nr. 18 der Muitifunkti-
onsschnittstelle zur Helium-Untergrundbestim-
mung genutzt werden. Dazu muß ein Schalter
im Schnüffelspitzen-Halter
montiert und
mit
dem Fernsteuereingang zwischen Pin Nr. 16
und. Pin Nr..18 der Multifunktionsschnittsteile
verbunden werden.
Die Funktion dieses Fernsteuereinganges
ist
vergleichbar
mit der Nullpunkt-Taste
(4/14)
der Bedieneinheit (Abschnitt 2.2.6).
Der Schalter muß so eingebaut werden, daß
bei Entnahme der Schnüffelspitze aus der Hal-
terung der Kontakt geöffnet und somit der He-
liumuntergrund unterdrückt wird.
Die
Helium-Untergrundunterdrückung
wird
durch die blinkende Null-Indikator LED (4/21)
angezeigt.
2.4.8.1 Lecksuche mit Standard-
schnüffler
Der Standardschnüffler wird dann eingesetzt,
wenn höchste Empfindlichkeit verlangt wird. Er
hat zudem den Vorteil, kein Gas in nennens-
werter Menge abzusaugen.
Deshalb ist er besonders gut für Hüllentest's
oder zur Messung sehr kleiner Lecks geeig-
net.
2.4.8.2 Lecksuche mit Hellum-Schnüttler
QUICKTEST QT 100
Der Helium-Schnüffler QUICKTEST
QT 100
vermeidet die Beschránkung des Standard-
schnüfflers auf kurze Leitungslángen.
Durch
seinen Ansaugeffekt hat er den Vorteil, auch .
Lecks anzuzeigen, die relativ weit von der
Schnüffelspitze entfernt sind.
Er ist deshalb besonders gut für die Leckloka-
lisierung einzusetzen.

AuBerbetriebsetzung
Zur Außerbetriebsetzung ist der Netzschalter
"EIN/AUS"
(8/7)
auf
Stellung
"AUS"
zu
schalten.
‚Weitere
Maßnahmen
sind
nicht
erforderlich.
Die Betriebsart wird gespeichert. Das Gerät
nimmt nach Wiederinbetriebnahme
den glei-
chen Zustand wieder ein.
Hinweis
-Das Gasballastventil der TRIVAC D 1,6 B
(siehe Abschnitt 3.2.1) muß

helium background. For this it is required to
mount a switch in the holder for the sniffer
probe which is connected to the remote con-
trol input between pin No. 16 and pin No. 18
of the multifunction interface.
The function of this remote control input is
comparable to that of the autozero pushbutton
(4/14) on the hand unit (see Section 2.2.6).
The switch must be installed in such a way,
that the contact opens when the sniffer probe
is taken out, so that the helium background is
suppressed at that time.
This is indicated by a flashing zero indication
LED (4/21).
2.4.8.1
Leak Testing with Standard
Snifter
The standard sniffer probe is always
used
when the highest sensitivity is required. It also
has the advantage that gas intake is very low.
It is therefore especially well suited for hood
tests or for the measurement
of very fine
leaks.
2.4.8.2 Leak Detection with the QUICK-
TEST QT 100 Sniffer Probe
The QUICKTEST QT 100 avoids the limita-
tions of the standard sniffer concerning the
length of the sniffer line. Due to its sucking ef-
fect it has the additional advantage of being
able to indicate any leaks fairly far apart from
the probe tip.
Therefore it is especially well suited for the lo-
calization of leaks.
2.5
Switching Off
To switch off the UL 100 PLUS, set the
"ON/OFF" power switch (8/7) to the "OFF"
position. No other action is necessary.
The operating mode is stored. The instrument
reverts to the same operating mode when it is
Switched on again.
Note
The gas ballast valve of the TRIVAC D 1.6 B
(see Section 3.2.1) must always be closed
during transport.

Il faut pour cela monter un commutateur sur le
Support de la pointe du renifleur et le relier
avec l'entrée de télécommande entre broche
no. 16 et broche no. 18 de l'interface multi-
fonction.

Cette fonction de l'entrée de télécommande est
comparable à celle de la touche de remise à
zéro (4/14) de l'unité de commande
(section
2.2.6).
Le commutateur. doit être monté de. telle maniè-
re que le contact s'ouvre, en annulant le fond
hélium, lorsqu'on retire de son support la pointe
du renifleur.
La suppression du fond hélium est indiquée par
le clignotement de la DEL zéro (4/21).
2.4.8.1 Détectlon avec renifleur standard
N s'utilise toujours pour obtenir la plus haute
sensibilité. || a d'autre part l'avantage de ne
pas aspirer de gaz en quantitó notable.
C'est pourquoi il est particulierement approprié
pour le test sous enveloppe ou pour la mesure
de fuites particulièrement petites.
2.4.8.2
Détection avec le renifleur rapide
QUICKTEST QT 100
Il n'est pas contraint comme le renifleur stan-
dard à de courtes distances. Avec son effet
aspirant il présente l'avantage d'indiquer des
fuites relativement éloignées de la pointe du re-
nifleur.
Il est donc particulèrement approprié à la loca-
lisation des fuites.

Arrét de l'appareil

"MARCHE/ARRET"
(8/7) sur la position "ARRET", D'autres mesu-
res ne sont pas nécessaires.
Le mode de service est mémorisé. L'appareil
reprend le möme état quand il est remis en cir-
cuit.
Remarque
Le robinet de lest d'air de TRIVAC D1,6 B
(voir section 3.2.1) doit toujours être fermé pour
le transport.
