9.4 PV connection
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
The voltage of PV modules is very high
and very quickly reaches a life-threatening volt-
age range!
The system may only be connected to the PV
modules by a suitably qualified electrician!
All electrical safety regulations must be fol-
lowed!
The PV must not be grounded positively or neg-
atively!
Note on the PV cables
• For the PV connection, a 4-6 mm² or 12-10AWG cable
is recommended at least.
Mounting the MC4 connectors
Connect the MC4 plugs respectively
to the DC cables as follows:
• Disassemble each connector by unscrewing
the cable nut.
• Remove 8 mm of the insulation
from the end of the respective PV cable (1.1).
• Insert the stripped end into the pin contact
and crimp it (1.2).
• Insert the pin contact through the cable nut into the
female or male connector (2.1) and fix it by tightening
the cable nut again (2.2).
