5.3 Network configuration
To ensure faultless operation of the Wi-Fi stick,
the network must be configured accordingly.
Proceed as follows:
• Select "Plant Details"-"Device List", find the target SN
(serial number) and select "Networking" (4).
• Make sure your smartphone is connected to the cor-
rect Wi-Fi network and select "Start to configure" (5).
Notes:
• A 5G WLAN is not supported.
• Router names and passwords that contain special
characters (e.g. , : " ' = `) are not supported..
• Connect to the AP network by selecting "Go to con-
nect" and finding the correct "AP_XXXXX" network
(XXXXX refers to the SN of the Wi-Fi stick) (6).
If the password is required, you will find it on the
casing of the Wi-Fi stick.
• Wait until the configuration is complete.
The system then switches to the following page.
Select "Done" then to check the system data (normal-
ly the data is updated within 10 minutes) (7).
Troubleshooting in case of misconfiguration
• If the configuration fails, check whether one of the
following possible causes is present,
remedy it if necessary
and start the configuration again:
• The Wi-Fi is not switched on and is working prop-
erly.
• The Wi-Fi router applies the white-black list.
• Special characters are used in the Wi-Fi network.
• The distance between the smartphone and the
Wi-Fi stick is too large.
• Try to connect to another Wi-Fi.
