2. Operating Principle and Use of the System 2.1 Purpose and functionality The high-quality inverter (HKW10NVP3) converts direct current generated from the solar modules (DC) into grid-compliant alternating current (AC), which can be used for self-consumption or fed into the public grid, or the generated energy can be stored for later consumption in the 2-8 integrated 5.12 kWh battery modules (KKTNVB5.1).

Seite 177
Operating Principle and Use of the System Work mode SELF CONSUME The energy generated by the solar panels will be used in the following order: 1. Supply of the connected local loads 2. Charging the battery storage 3. Feeding into the public grid If the solar energy is not sufficient for the power supply, the additional energy required is provided by the battery.
Seite 178
Operating Principle and Use of the System Work mode BAT PRIORITY (Battery priority) The battery will get charged with the power generated by the PV system or from the grid. The stored energy is not consumed when grid power is available, but is used exclusively to supply the loads connected to BACKUP in the event of a grid failure / disconnection, if the energy generated from the PV modules is not sufficient for this.
