4. Preparation
d) Starting the RC Installation
Take note of the separate operating manual of the Remote control!
The operation of the transmitter is also possible with rechargeable batteries instead of batteries.
However, the low voltage (batteries=1.5 V, rechargeable batteries=1. V) and the lower capacity of rechargeable
batteries do lead to a decrease of the operating time. When using rechargeable batteries there can be a decre-
ase in range.
If you use batteries in the remote control, we recommend the use of high-quality alkaline batteries.
If batteries are used for the power supply of the transmitter, make sure that there is a sufficient rest capacity (bat-
tery checker). If the batteries are empty, always replace the complete set (never individual cells!).Always replace
the entire set of batteries in the remote control transmitter. Use only the batteries / rechargeable batteries of the
same type and manufacturer.
Transmitter
- Remove lid of battery compartment on the lower side of the transmitter.
- Insert 8 AA (rechargeable) batteries in the compartment,
observe the correct polarity!
- Close the lid again

Receiver battery

The rechargeable battery gets hot during charging and therefore should not be charged
in the battery box, in order to ensure sufficient heat dissipation.
- Charge the NiCd rechargeable battery completely!
- Insert the rechargeable battery.
- Close the rechargeable battery box without jamming the cable and screw together the batte-
ry box.
Connecting the receiver
- Open the cover of the receiver box by unscrewing both screws.
- Remove the receiver
- Unwind the wire of the antenna and guide it outwards through the opening in the cover of the
receiver box.
- Place the receiver in the box again.
- Close the receiver box without jamming the cable and screw together the receiver box
- Connect the cable of the rechargeable battery with the receiver.
The receiver box is screwed at the same time onto the RC board via the
locking screws of the cover!
- Thread the antenna of the receiver through the guide tube of the antenna.
- Insert the lower end of the guide tube of the antenna into the base of the antenna on the
cover of the receiver box
- Fasten the antenna wire on the top at the guidance tube, by wrapping adhesive tape around
it or by placing a rubber cap.
Do not shorten the antenna!
- Switch the transmitter on.
The green LED lights up.
If the LED does not light up, check batteries /rechargeable batteries and replace
them, if necessary.
- Switch on the receiver with the switch on the chassis.
The servos must turn in neutral position.
Always switch ON the transmitter first then the receiver.
First switch OFF the receiver, then the transmitter.
