g) Checking Alignment and Pinion Tooth Clearance
The motor transmits its torque via the pinions on the clutch bell to the main pinion at the centre differential. Both rotary axles, i.e. the crank shaft, engine side, and
the axle of the drive section to the front and rear axles, must be exactly parallel in alignment. This prevents tension in the drive section, premature wearing of the
pinions and bearings as well as loss of power.
The parallel alignment of crankshaft and drive section should be checked every time before using the vehicle and if necessary it has to be
readjusted!
When the alignment is parallel, the pinion on the clutch bell and the main pinion will run smoothly. If there is too much tolerance this will destroy the cogs in the
long run, too little tolerance destroys the bearing in the clutch and motor.
Checking the tooth clearance
• Insert a thin piece of paper between the pinion on the clutch bell and the main
pinion in the drive section.
• Turn the cogs by hand
• The paper strip must not rip apart when the wheels turn!
Adjusting the tooth clearance
• Loosen the four screws of the motor mounting on the bottom of the chassis
• Align engine sideways and fasten screws again tightly
• Unscrew four screws, at the top, on the motor support and align the motor vertically
h) Initial Operation of the RC system
Please note the separate operating instructions of the remote control system!
The transmitter can be operated using rechargeable batteries or disposable batteries. When using rechargeable batteries, ensure that the capacity is high as the
operating time will otherwise be reduced. If you use disposable batteries in the remote control, we recommend the use of high-quality alkaline batteries. Make
sure that there is sufficient remaining capacity using a battery tester.
If the batteries/rechargeable batteries are empty, always replace the complete set (never individual cells!). Always use batteries or rechargeable batteries of the
same type and manufacturer. Never mix disposable batteries with rechargeable batteries.
The model contains powerful servos which are appropriate for the speeds which can be achieved and the weight of the vehicle. We thus advise against using 4
batteries/rechargeable batteries (type AA) as a receiver power supply.
CAUTION!
To operate the receiver you must use a high current capable, 5-cell rechargeable battery pack (hump pack) with an operating voltage of 6V.
• Insert the 8 AA batteries or rechargeable batteries into the battery compartment ensuring the correct polarity!
• Open the RC box on the chassis.
• Attach the 6V receiver battery (hump pack) to the switching cable.
• Ensure the correct polarity and a tight fit.
• Insert the hump rechargeable battery pack into the RC box together with the cables and the plug.
• Connect the two plugs carefully.
• Take the receiver out of the RC box carefully and unfurl the antenna cable.
• Guide the antenna cable outwards through the opening in the cover of the RC box.
• Thread the antenna of the receiver through the antenna guide tube supplied.
• Now stick the bottom end of the antenna guiding tube into the recess on the cover of the RC box.
• Secure the antenna tube in the antenna base.
• Secure the antenna cable at the top of the guide tube using the antenna tube rubber cap.
Never shorten the antenna cable!

e) Réglage pour pilotes expérimentés
Réglage des différentiels
Les différentiels du véhicule sont remplis de graisse. La viscosité de la graisse cause un blocage du différentiel approprié pour la plupart des terrains et
utilisations.
En remplaçant la graisse par une huile silicone pour différentiels d'une haute viscosité, l'effet de blocage peut être changé. Plus la viscosité est élevée, plus
l'effet de blocage est important.
• En cas de dérapage du modèle réduit sous charge dans le virage, vous pouvez détacher le différentiel arrière ou bloquer le différentiel avant.
• En cas de sous-virage du modèle réduit sous charge, bloquez le différentiel arrière ou détachez le différentiel avant.
Vous pouvez choisir entre l'huile silicone d'une viscosité de 1000 (faible action de blocage) à 50000 (grande action de blocage).
Attention ! Le remplacement de la graisse pour boîtes de vitesses n'est conseillé qu'aux pilotes expérimentés en modélisme maîtrisant leurs
modèles et ayant des connaissances techniques suffisantes relatives au montage et démontage des différentiels.
Réglage du pincement des roues arrière
Pour régler le pincement des roues arrière, le bloc de pincement des roues doit être remplacé.
Pour cela, retirez les bagues E des bras transversaux inférieurs. Lorsque vous remplacez le bloc de pincement des roues par un autre ayant un écartement des
trous plus grand, les bras transversaux ne sont plus orientés parallèlement à l'axe longitudinal du véhicule, mais dans un angle.
L'angle de pincement des roues arrière change en conséquence.
L´effet Ackermann
Pour régler la progressivité de l´angle de braquage sur la roue intérieure au virage (angle d´Ackermann), les barres d´accouplement peuvent être déplacées non
seulement dans les leviers de direction mais aussi sur la plaque de direction vers d´autres points de pivot.
Rabaissement mécanique
Pour rabaisser le châssis, il est également possible de limiter
mécaniquement la course de débattement. A cet effet, vous pouvez visser
une vis du haut dans les bras transversaux inférieurs qui s'appuie sur le
châssis.
Amortissement
Pour une meilleure optimisation des caractéristiques de l'amortisseur, nous vous proposons, pami nos accessoires, une huile silicone pour amortisseurs, avec
différents degrés de viscosité. De plus, vous trouverez des ressorts de réglage de différentes duretés dans notre gamme.
