Setting the alignment

The alignment designates the position of the wheel level to the driving direction.
During the drive the tires are pushed apart in the front because of the rolling friction and this is
why they are no longer exactly parallel to the drive direction. To balance, the wheels of the stati-
onary vehicle can be set, so that they point slightly inward.
This toe-in effects an improved lateral cornering of the tire and therefore a more direct response
of the steering If a milder response of steering is desired, this can be achieved accordingly by
adjusting a toe-out , i.e. the wheels of the stationary vehicle point outward.
A trail angle of 0° on the front axis ensures the best driveability on almost any ground.
A trail angle of more than 3° toe-in or toe-out leads to handling problems and reduces the
speed.
For a rough setting of the toe, the outer tie rods on the steering lever can be bolted to another
anchorage point. This also changes the Ackermann angle.Doing so will change the Ackerman
angle.
Clamping screws for separate wheel alignment of the front wheels are located in the right and
left steering link between the steering lever and the steering plate.
The toe of the rear axle can also be set with turnbuckles on the lower suspension arm.
The toe-in of the front wheel must not exceed 4°.

Turn the clamping bolt clockwise.
The track rod gets longer and the wheel is pressed to the
back and outwards.
Setting a toe-in causes the inner side of the tyre to wear
faster.

Damping
To further optimize the damper characteristics, we offer, in our accessories, silicon oil for the shock absorbers in different viscosities!
Our product range also includes tuning springs of various hardness.
Toe Setting of the Rear Axle
Clamping screws for separate wheel alignment are located at the rear in the lower
transverse control arms.

Unscrewing the turnbuckles will change the angle of the lower suspension arm
to the longitudinal vehicle axis. The alignment angle of the rear wheels changes
accordingly, the toe-in is bigger.

Screwing in the clamping screws reduces the toe-in.
Setting the rear axle differential
The differential of the GP Monster Truck Chassis „Ice Tiger" RTR is filled with grease. The viscosity of the grease locks the differential, which is sui-
table for most terrains and conditions. By exchanging the grease against highly viscose silicone differential oil the locking effect can be modified. The
higher the viscosity, the higher the locking effect.

If the model understeers under load, lock the differential.
You can select between silicone oil with a viscosity of XR 1.000 (small locking effect) to XR 50.000 (high locking effect).
NOTE! We only recommend exchanging the transmission grease to experienced users who know their model and have adequate
technical skills for taking out and disassembling the differential.
