2.2.4
DAMPER FLAP
Exhaust gas systems are to be set-up in accordance with the spe-
cialist regulations of the Tile Stove and Air Heating System Associa-
tion. Stoves may feature a damper flap in the exhaust gas system.
The damper flap may not impede the testing and cleaning work on
the flue pipes and must not be able to close independently. The
setting of the damper flap must be recognisable from outside e.g.
by the setting of the operating handle. damper flaps may only be
installed in flue gas collectors, flue outlets or in flue pipes.

2.2.5 FLUE PIPES

Your stove is connected to the chimney with
flue pipes made out of at least 2 mm thick steel plate. These pipes
must correspond to DIN 1298 or DIN EN 1856-2 and be connected
to the chimney in accordance with DIN 18160 or the regulations
in the relevant German state. It is important to ensure that the ex-
haust gas pipe is installed in the shortest way possible upwards to
the chimney. In the process, the least possible number of changes
in direction for the exhaust flow are to be made. The stability of
the exhaust gas pipe must be ensured and the exhaust pipe is
to be secured with brackets if required. If the exhaust gas pipe
leads through a combustible wall or is located in near proximity to
combustible construction components then it is to be insulated in
accordance with the regulations. In general, the flue pipes are to
be fitted so that it is possible to clean them at any time. This is to
be guaranteed through the fitting of the corresponding number of
cleaning openings.
If a rotatable stove has been installed, the flue pipes must be fit-
ted in such a way that no negative influences are placed on the
fixing of the stove. The exhaust gas pipe may not rotate with the
stove. The minimum clearance distance from the chimney flue pipe
to combustible construction components can increase the distance
between the stove and combustible construction components de-
pending on the information provided by the manufacturer. The given
minimum clearance distances to combustible construction compo-
nents in these instructions relate to the stove and must be adjusted
if required (see 2.2.3 Fire protection).

2.2.6 ROTARY BASE

The installation of the rotary base can only take place with an ex-
haust connection at the top and must be declared on the order. The
stove can be rotated as a result through 120°/180°, by 60°/90°
150 mm /
160 mm
to the left and to the right (Function of the rotary base, see 3.3).
