La batteria ha una tensione di 12V e una capacità di
24 Ah alla sua carica provvede il generatore. Per
accedere alla batteria occorre:
I togliere la sella, i copriaccumulatori laterali e la
paratia cromata sinistra sottosella;
I sganciare la fascetta in gomma di tenuta e staccare
i cavi elettrici dalla batteria;
n sfilare la batteria dal suo supporto, togliendola dal
lato sinistro del motociclo.
Istruzioni per la manutenzione delle batterie cari-
che con acido.
Le batterie cariche secche attivate dopo carica di
ravvivamento o ricevute cariche con acido devono
essere trattate con le seguenti avvertenze:
I aggiungere quando occorre acqua distillata (mai
acido) in modo che a riposo il livello dell'acido sia di 5
mm sopra i separatori;
I mantenere puliti e serrati i morsetti e ingrassarli con
vaselina;
I mantenere asciutta la parte superiore della batteria
evitando traboccamenti di acido, che riducono l'isola-
mento e corrodono telai e cassette di contenimento;
Battery
The battery is a 12V type with 24 Ah capacity, and is
charged by the generator.
To gain access to the battery:
I remove the seat and the side battery covers;
I unhook the rubber strap and disconnect the battery
leads;
I slide the battery out from its support, removing from
the left side of the motorcycle.
Battery maintenance
Batteries which are already in service (i.e. dry batteries
which have been filled, activated and charged should be
maintained as follows:
I top up with distilled water (never use acid) so that
the liquid level is 5 mm over the top of the plates;
I battery terminals should be kept tight, clean, and
greased with vaseline;
I keep the top part of the battery dry; avoid acid
spillages as this will reduce insulation and corrode the
battery holder and cover;
