eAbout the Demonstration Mode
@ The demonstration mode is activated by turning on the power
switch while holding down the ACOUSTIC MEMORY switch (from
power standby condition). The demonstration will appear on the
display.
¢ Press any other switch to cancel the demonstration.
RETURN
function
This key returns the unit to a set of initial settings and ready to broad-
cast tuner. This is helpful during troubleshooting or when no sound
is output. For details, refer to "REMOTE CONTROL
OPERATION,"
page 80.
FEATURES
The VSX-4700S combines the functions of receiver, wireless remote
control, audio-visual selector and surround processor. It will play a
central role in your enjoyment of audio- video media.
BUILT-IN DIGITAL DELAY, DOLBY SURROUND CIR-
CUIT
Enjoy the presence and the expansive effect of surround playback.
Three different surround effects (STUDIO, SIMULATED SURROUND,
DOLBY SURROUND) and 3-step delay times are available.
eLARGE, MOTOR-DRIVEN VOLUME KNOB
The large volume knob contributes to operational convenience and
positive response. You can even operate it via remote control. When
you change the volume setting using the remote contro! unit, the
knob turns by itself, making it easy to keep track of the current set-
ting.
®VIDEO SIGNAL SELECTOR (Simulcast function)
Allows free combination of various audio-visual sources during play-
back and over-dubbing, enabling you to produce your own original
video product.
¢TWO-WAY VCR COPYING AND MONITORING
VCR 1 — VCR 2: Copying of video cassette tapes can be performed in
either direction.
VDP/CDV — VCR 1, VCR 2: Allows simultaneous production of two
copies from video disc or compact disc with video.
@SOUND FIELD MEMORY FUNCTION
Surround mode, Balance, Delay time, and Acoustic memory are
among the 5 presets possible with this function.

Fonction de réinitialisation (touche RETURN)
Cette touche raméne l'appareil 4 un ensemble de réglages initiaux et
a l'état prét pour le tuner. Cette fonction est utile pendant le dépis-
tage des pannes ou lorsqu'aucun son n'est sorti. Se reporter a "UTI-

Le grand bouton de volume contribue a une manipulation pratique et
a une réponse positive. Il est également réglable au moyen de la télé-
commande. Lorsque le volume est modifié en utilisant la télécom-
mande, le bouton tourne de lui-méme, le réglage actuel est donc fa-
cilement visible.
eSELECTEUR DE SIGNAL VIDEO (Fonction simulta-
née)
Permet une combinaison libre de différentes sources audiovisuelies
pendant la reproduction et le sur-doublage, ce qui vous permet de
produire vos propres vidéos originales.

VCR 1— VCR 2: la copie de vidéocassettes peut étre réalisée dans les
deux sens.
