Connecting a PC with the CX22-W data recorder

The sections below describe using the "QuantumX Data
Recorder Assistant" program supplied by HBM to set up
a connection between a PC and
CX22-W :
S Section 7.1 describes setting up a direct connection.
S Section 7.2 describes connection via a network.
S Section 7.3 describes setting up a connection via
WLAN.
Important
If you have an older version of the CX22-W (up to
firmware version 3.2.1), you must either call up the
current version of the "QuantumX Data Recorder
Assistant" program with the
or launch the program via the "CX22-3.2.1-compatible
mode" entry in the Windows Start menu. Otherwise the
CX22-W will not be found, as older versions of the
program use a different multicast address (224.0.0.43,
now 224.0.0.1).
You can also set up a direct connection via remote
desktop (the program is a component of the Windows
operating system), if you know the IP address of the
CX22-W, or if the factory settings are still available. Read
about this in Section 7.4, from Page 48.
If the connection to the CX22-W data recorder is not
being set up with a device running the Windows
operating system, read Chapter 8 on Page 57 before you
start.
