(QuantumX Thermo Mini-to-D-Sub-HD15 adapter for

1 Introduction
The SCM-TCx adapter enables thermocouples with a Thermo Mini connector to be
easily and directly connected to the MX840 or MX440 universal measuring amplifiers
and their revisions.

The thermo cable is screwed to the Thermo Mini cable coupling and strain-relieved. In
the D-Sub-HD15, the 30-cm-long thermo cable is soldered to the
THERMO-MXBOARD electronics. The electronics allows for external cold junction
compensation and is equipped with a Pt1000 temperature sensor and a TEDS chip.
TEDS enables identification of the adapter as soon as it is connected, measuring
point assignment, and additional, subsequent scaling (thermal calibration data).
Versions (colors in accordance with IEC standard):
- SCM-TCK: Type K thermocouples - green
- SCM-TCE: Type E thermocouples - violet
- SCM-TCJ: Type J thermocouples - black
- SCM-TCT: Type T thermocouples - brown

3 Environmental aspects and CE declaration of conformity

aste disposal
This module is subject to European Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment Directive 2002/96/EC.
The module must not be disposed of as household garbage.
In accordance with national and local environmental protection and material
recovery and recycling regulations, old modules that can no longer be used
must be disposed of separately and not with normal household garbage.
If you need more information about waste disposal, please contact your local
authorities or the dealer from whom you purchased the product.
As waste disposal regulations within the EU may differ from country to
country, we ask that you contact your supplier as necessary.
Packaging
The original packaging of HBM devices is made from recyclable material and
can be sent for recycling. For ecological reasons, empty packaging should
not be returned to us.
Environmental aspects
The product will comply with general hazardous substances limits for at least
20 years, and will be ecologically safe to use during this period, as well as
recyclable.
CE conformity
HBM as the manufacturer declares that this module complies with the requirements of
the relevant EC directives (the Declaration of Conformity can be found at
http://www.hbmdoc.com/en/industrial-amplifiers/pmx.html?geoip_cn=none).
