GEARSHIFT
INSTALLING THE REAR WHEEL
1. Use the shifting lever to put in the 1st gear.
2. Place the rear wheel into the drop-out. Ensure that the
wheel is placed straight in the holder and that the chain is
appropriately tensioned. (see chapter Chain tensioning).
3. Then push the two safety washers on the axle so that the in-
terlock is in the drop-out.
4. Unscrew the axle nuts on both sides and tighten them well
with a 15 mm wrench. Observe the torque specification (s.
chapter on Torque specifications).
5. Attach the cable to the shifting wheel

6. Turn the cable to the right by 60° and attach it to the hook
(fig. BQ).

7. Attach the cable to the wheel as shown in the figure (fig.
BR).

8. Connect the brake cable
9. Check that the brake works properly and adjust it if neces-

10. Set the gearshift (s. chapter Setting the gearshift) anew.
