THEFT PROTECTION

Take out theft protection in your own interest. Always lock your bicycle, even if you only leave
it unsupervised briefly.
Use only safety-tested locks and safety devices. We recommend bicycle locks of the PROPH-
ETE brand.
MAINTENANCE & CARE
• The bicycle requires regular inspection, maintenance and servicing. Only this can en-
sure that it permanently complies with the safety-technical requirements and works
properly. Therefore, perform the following inspection,care and maintenance instruc-
tions.
DANGER
• Perform the repair, maintenance and setting work only if you have enough specialist
knowledge and the corresponding tools. This specifically applies to work on the
brakes. Wrong or insufficient repair, maintenance and setting work may cause dam-
age to the bicycle, malfunctions and therefore accidents.
• The bicycle or the individual parts are exposed to partially high stress during the dura-

tion of use, accidents or improper treatment. Any kind of cracks, scratches and colour
changes may indicate that the respective part may suddenly fail. This specifically ap-
plies to bent or damaged safety-relevant parts, such as the frame, fork, handlebar,
stem, saddle, seat post, luggage carrier, all brake components (specifically brake le-
ver & brake linings), lights, foot pedal, wheels, tyres and tubes. Never repair such de-
fective parts, but replace them with genuine spare parts without delay. Danger of
break and accidents!
• U se only genuine spare parts for exchange of parts, since they are specifically coordi-
nated with the bicycle and can ensure proper function. This specifically applies to
safety-relevant parts, such as the frame, fork, handlebar, stem, saddle, seat post, lug-
gage carrier, all brake components (specifically brake lever & brake linings), lights,
foot pedal, wheels, tyres and tubes. If you use any third-party parts for exchange, this
may lead to damage and failure of safety-relevant parts. Danger of accident!
