If the 24 V supply of the control logic (infeed at X4) is generated

externally, switch off the 24 V supply.
For PSI 6x00:
The LOGIC LED at the front side of the unit is extinguished.
For PSI 6xCx:
The display on the diagnosis module is extinguished.
Block the unit-related connections for compressed air supply and, if

necessary, the cooling water supply and discharge should this be
necessary manually. Make sure that inadvertent opening is avoided.
Then disconnect the existing water conduits.
Use suitable measuring equipment and an appropriate measuring

method to ensure that the mains and transformer connections of the
respective unit are de-energized.
Take into consideration that internal voltages need at least 5 minu­
tes for discharge after switching the power supply off. Do not touch
the mains and transformer connection of the unit during this period of
time.
If the unit is replaced, write down all switch positions on the front side
5.
of the timer.
Set the switches on the new unit identically.
If possible, continue to use the AnyBus module or the withdrawable
Ethernet module in the new unit. A reconfiguration of the relevant in­
terfaces is thus not necessary.
Make sure that all connections to the front side of the timer are

marked clearly and then pull off the connections.
Loosen the connections for mains and transformer connections.

Make sure that the unit cannot make uncontrolled movements after

loosening of the retaining screws/quick-action clamps and then
loosen the retaining screws/quick-action clamps.
Remove the unit.

For transport and storage, please take into account the information
provided in Section „Transport and storage" on page 339 and for dis­
posal the information provided in Section „Disposal" on page 411.
When dismantling the unit, make sure that all remaining connection

cables are sufficiently insulated and protected against contact.
Dismantling has now been completed.
