Firmware update via "FWUpdate"

Check the firmware version using the programming terminal (BOS).

For firmware update of all timers via the Ethernet field bus interface.
The following is needed to perform a firmware update
• a PC with the "FWUpdate" software installed,
• a working connection to the PC via the Ethernet field bus interface.
• a BOS database installed on the PC with a valid timer reference
(BOS 6000 installed) and
• the firmware as a *.hex file.
" Proceed as follows:
Start the "FWUpdate" software.

When the software is started, it will search for a valid timer reference
(is read from the BOS6000 database) and show you all properly lin­
ked timers in tabular format:
Use the "SST-Firmware" or the "UIR-Firmware" command button to

select the path and file name of the desired firmware.
Firmware files have the file name extension ".hex".
The selected firmware file will be displayed in the corresponding in­
put fields.
A separate selection of the UIR firmware („UIR firmware" command
button) is not necessary for type PSI 6xCx.xxx timers.
Select the timer(s) for which the firmware update is to be carried out

by ticking the proper check boxes at the left margin of the lines.
To select/deselect all of the timers, use the check box at the left mar­
gin of the table's header line.
