General information on damage to property and products
3.3
Electrical connection
Incorrect voltage supply
Possibility of damage to the electrical equipment!
"
Check whether the supply voltage coincides with the nominal vol
tage indicated on the nameplate of the product!
The product may only connected to the mains if these values coin
cide.
"
Make sure that fluctuations or deviations of the supply voltage
from the nominal value always range within the permitted tole
rance limits (refer to technical data).
Capacitive or inductive interferences in the cables
Possibility of function disturbances!
"
Install the power lines and control cables separately.
The following clearances are recommended:
> 100 mm with parallel installation of cables < 10m,
> 250 mm with parallel installation of cables > 10m.
"
The product should be installed in close proximity to the welding
equipment in order to keep the lengths of the necessary connec
tion cords to a minimum.
Plugging or unplugging modules or connectors/terminals into/from
live systems
Possibility of damage to the electrical equipment, unexpected
plant reactions!
"
Unless described otherwise, never unplug or plug any connec
tors/terminals on live systems.
"
The timer's power supply should always be disconnected before
inserting/removing any timer modules.
An electromagnetic induction occurs between the connecting ca
bles U,V of the PSI6500 inverter to the welding transformer!
This can heat magnetic metals so strongly that the cable insu
lation of the connecting cables is destroyed and an earth fault can
occur!
"
To fix individual output cables (e.g. in the switch cabinet), cable
fixings made of aluminium must be used.
Aluminium sheet should be used for housing feedthroughs or the
"
supply cables should be routed together through one feedthrough
of the weld timer cabinet.
