Commissioning

Switching on the medium-frequency inverter
Dangerous electrical voltage
Possibility of cardiac arrhythmia, burns, shock!
" Make sure that unauthorized persons do not work on/in the switch
cabinet.
During commissioning, medium-frequency inverters and other live
plant components are accessible at the open switch cabinet! This
reduces the safety of persons and the plant!
Prerequisite for commissioning is the proper installation and function
• of the entire mechanics of the welding equipment
• of all Emergency-Stop/Emergency-Halt devices
• of the electrical connection including all required sensors
• of the compressed air supply and cooling units.
" Make sure that the above mentioned prerequisites for commis­
sioning are met.
Activate the compressed air supply and the cooling units, should this

have to be done manually.
If the 24 V supply of the control logic (infeed at X4) is generated

externally, switch on the 24 V supply.
If the 24 V supply of the control logic (infeed at X4) is generated in­
ternally by the integrated power unit, switch on the mains supply of
the inverter.
For information on the connection of external or internal logic supply,
please refer to Section 7.2.6 on page 365.
For PSI 6x00: the LOGIC LED at the front side of the timer must be lit
green after booting of the WT.
For PSI 6xCx: the display in the diagnosis module should be on
„RUN" after booting of the WT or at least display a sequence of num­
bers.
