Firmware update

Software tools
Upon delivery, the most current firmware is installed on the timer. You
may display the firmware version using the programming terminal
(BOS).
In rare cases, it may be necessary to update the firmware.
Arbitrary and improper firmware replacement
Damages possible through improper handling!
Therefore, firmware updates may only be performed at our
"
request and by authorized personnel only!
The following software tools are available for firmware update:
• WinBlow (refer to Sect. 10.3.1, starting on page 399):
For firmware update of PSI 6x00.xxx timer types via interface X1.
A firmware update of the optional PSQ 6000 XQR module is not pos­
sible with the „WinBlow" tool. Use the „FWUpdate" tool for this pur­
pose.
• MemTool (refer to Sect. 10.3.2, starting on page 400):
For firmware update of PSI 6xCx.xxx timer types via interface X3C or
X3U.
• FWUpdate (refer to Sect. 10.3.3, starting on page 401):
For firmware update of all timers via the Ethernet field bus interface.
• PSUpdate (refer to Sect. 10.3.4 on page 388):
For firmware update of all timers via the Ethernet field bus interface.
