SSI Interface

The following conditions must be met in order to connect absolute encoders to the SSI interface:
- Only absolute encoders with a monoflop time between 20 µsec and 260 µsec can be used.
- Absolute encoders with a maximum 24 Bit (AG24) or 32 Bit (AG32) can be read.
The function blocks AG24 and AG32 are provided for the operation. They are contained in the standard
software package 4 SWPLCPOS01-0 (rev. 00.32 or higher).
20. IF4 - B&R ONLINE INTERFACE
For communication with the programming device, the Compact PLC uses an on-line interface. The on-
line interface is a TTY interface which runs at 62.5 kBaud and is only used for on-line operation with
the programming device.
The connection to the programming device is made with an online cable (BRKAOL-0).
