magic control's display offers various display configurations that have to be configured to
suit the country concerned. You can configure the display of the pressure and tempera-
ture values in the following unit combinations:
PSI & °C, PSI & °F, Bar & °C, kPa & °C, Bar & °F, kPa & °F
1. Switch on the ignition, depressing the Check key, and hold it depressed for about
three seconds until you receive an acoustic signal for about 1 seconden.
2. The momentarily stored combination of the units is shown and starts to flash. Depress
the Check key to change amongst the combinations listed below.
a) PSI & °C
b) PSI & °F
c) Bar & °C
d) kPa & °C
e) Bar & °F
f) kPa & °F
3. Actuate the Check key to store the combination selected. You will receive acoustic
confirmation for about 1 second, and the unit combination stops flashing.
When having tyres fitted, always point out to the fitter that magic control is installed and
hand him the installation instructions.
Each time tyres are changed, we recommend the valve core be also changed, which you
can order under the article number MTPM-VALVE.
1. To begin with, unscrew the valve core from the tyre sensor.
2. Always start unseating the tyre opposite the valve. Never unseat the tyre from the rim
over the sensor, as otherwise the tyre sensor may be damaged (see M 1).
3. Lever the tyre off the rim in the direction of rotation about 10° behind the tyre sensor
(see M 2).
4. Detach the tyre sensor from the rim and unscrew the valve from the tyre sensor with
an Allen key (see M 3). Insert the new valve into the tyre sensor and tighten it up with
approx. 2 Nm (see M 5, M 6).
5. Place the sensor back into the rim. Please pay close attention here to the section
Sensor installation.
6. Mount the tyre back onto the rim.
Please note! Always start mounting the tyre opposite the valve. Otherwise,
there is the danger that the wheel sensor may be damaged during tyre mounting
(see D 10, D 11, D 12).
