– Example 1: Connecting wires to original wires.
Strip 10 mm of insulation from the original wire (see F 1).
Strip 15 mm of insulation from the wire to be connected (see F 2).
Wind the wire to be connected around the original wire and solder them (see F 3).
Insulate the wire with insulation tape (see F 4).
– Example 2: Connect 2 wires with one another.
Strip the insulation from both wires (see G 1).
Pull a heat-shrinkable sleeve approx. 20 mm long over a wire (see G 2).
Twist the two ends with each other and solder them (see G 3).
Push the heat-shrinkable sleeve over the soldering joint and heat slightly (see G 4).
– Example 3: Apply the wire to mass.
Strip 5 mm of insulation from the wire (see H 1).
Use a Ø 6 mm claw wire lug with crimping connection (see H 2).
Crimp the wire lug to the end of the wire with the crimping pliers (see H 3).
Screw the wire lug to an original mass point (see H 4).
– Example 4: Provide the wire with a flat connector.
Strip 5 mm of insulation from the wire (see I 1).
Use a fitting connector with crimping connection (e.g. flat plug receptacle) (see I 2).
Crimp the wire lug to the end of the wire with the crimping pliers (see I 3).
Where necessary, use a plug connector with insulating sleeve (see I 4).
Please note! Always disconnect the minus pole prior to working on the vehicle
electrical system due to the short-circuiting hazard. Likewise disconnect the
minus pole on vehicles with an additional battery.
Make the connections using the terminal connecting plan (see J).

BLACK P5.1
The wire must be connected to mass (terminal –31).
ORANGE P5.2
This wire must be connected to a switched voltage supply (terminal +15). Take care to
ensure that voltage does not drop when the engine is started..
RED P5.3
This wire must be connected to a permanent +12V wire (terminal +30).
